T E A C H : Every tradesman should teach to those that may want to enter the field. The companies in the industry, need you to teach the new guys, so that they will not make mistakes that can be avoided.
I worked in a Shipyard, the number of problems I have seen that could be avoided if the workers were taught would of saved hundred of Million of dollars. Teach, we need you.
Have you thought about working for a service company in the oil and gas industry? I used to work for a company in Lafayette, Louisiana. I worked as a thread rep. and also ran hydraulic tubing tongs and torque-turn computers. The work is a lot easier and pays a lot more and more benefits, although most of the time you are on 24 hour call. It’s not as bad as it sounds. I did it for over 10 years. If you need or want more info just let me know.
